This hotel is a half-hour walk to the venue but the best place to stay to experience local flavor. The walk from the hotel to the conference takes you through the artistic and youthful heart of Tuscon. On Friday evenings and Saturdays, a historic electric streetcar runs and can take you most of the way. The Hotel Congress is a restored, art-deco hotel, famous as the scene of Dillenger's capture. The forst floor includes two bars, a wonderful cafe, and a live music venue.

Note: Some of the larger rooms at Congress are above one of Tucson's best music venues and can be quite loud. If you're a light sleeper, request a room on the north-west side of the Hotel.

Note: Four Points By Sheraton Tucson University Plaza is the closest hotel to the conference venue. However, many saftery and service service concerns were expressed by 2004 attendees about this hotel.
